Le processus d'achat et le choix des produits sont bons mais le service de livraison avec UPS est misérable. Je n'achèterai plus malheureusement à cause de la livraison par UPS qui ne respecte jamais la date et l'heure et qui donne une fausse excuse d'absence alors que j'étais là et que j'ai pris un jour de congé pour être là.

    Histoire

    L'histoire d'Azelia a commencé en 1920 lorsque le cavalier Lorenzo Scavino a décidé de commencer à produire du vin à partir des vignobles de sa famille dans le cœur prisé du Barolo, à Castiglione Falletto. Très vite, son fils, Alfonso, a commencé à mettre en bouteille le vin du domaine et peu après, les vins Azelia ont été exportés pour la première fois. Aujourd'hui, le domaine est sous la direction visionnaire de Luigi Scavino qui a travaillé sans relâche pour transformer Azelia en l'un des producteurs les plus recherchés de Barolo.

    Le propriétaire d'Azelia, Luigi Scavino, est le cousin et le voisin du légendaire producteur de Barolo Enrico Scavino et, ces dernières années, il a réussi à transformer son domaine en l'un des phares du Piémont. Parmi les principaux changements, il a modéré l'utilisation du chêne pour s'assurer que pas plus de 25 % de fûts de chêne neufs sont utilisés pendant la période de maturation et l'utilisation de grands botti de chêne traditionnels pour adoucir davantage l'impact du chêne. Le domaine est également cultivé de manière biologique et toutes les opérations dans le chai sont effectuées manuellement.
