    Histoire

    La cave de Benkovac, construite dans les années 1950, s'inspire des châteaux du sud de la France. Cependant, jusqu'en 2005, aucun cépage français ou international n'était cultivé sur ses terres. Cela a changé lorsque des plants de France de Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc et Mourvèdre ont été apportés et plantés dans les sols secs et pierreux du vignoble Korlat, à quelques pas de la mer Adriatique. À une altitude de 300 mètres, avec peu de précipitations tout au long de l'année, le vignoble produit des vins de distinction, aux saveurs et aux arômes riches et complexes.
