Le domaine viticole Campo alla Sughera a été fondé par la famille allemande Knauf en 1998, qui a identifié l'énorme potentiel de ce terroir influencé par la mer. La cave est située près du village de Bolgheri, dans une petite poche de paix entre la mer Méditerranée et les rudes Colline Metallifere.
Bolgheri n'a reçu la classification DOC que dans les années 1980, mais son histoire viticole n'en est pas moins riche et tapissée. Les premiers vignobles ont été plantés ici en 1816 et étaient composés de cépages français, notamment le cabernet sauvignon, la syrah et le gamay. Adeo est un clin d'œil à ces humbles origines. Il s'agit d'un assemblage audacieux de style bordelais, composé de 60 % de cabernet sauvignon et de 40 % de merlot.
Adeo’s bouquet is packed with notes of ripe, succulent red fruit and undertones of spice. If you leave it to breathe before serving, the nose can also reveal subtle hints of oak ageing. The palate is a bold, mouth-filling experience, replete with flavours of plum, black cherry and tart blackcurrant. You can also discover crisp levels of acidity, balanced out by subtle, velvety tannins, which become more apparent on the long finish. This is a gorgeous red, and a worthy companion for premium steaks, any kind of grilled meat, or a spicy stew
