    Situé dans la vallée d'El Rosario à seulement 15 km de l'océan Pacifique, Matetic est un domaine viticole familial chilien qui se spécialise dans la production de délicieux vins du Nouveau Monde selon des principes biologiques et biodynamiques. La famille a émigré au Chili en 1892 depuis la côte croate et a créé un élevage de moutons prospère à Punta Arenas avant de se lancer dans la viticulture en 1999. Aujourd'hui, ils appliquent leurs connaissances approfondies du terroir et de l'agriculture locale à la culture de raisins de qualité supérieure dans une variété d'appellations différentes.

    Ce vibrant sauvignon blanc commence sa vie dans la "Valle Hermoso" ou "Belle vallée" qui se trouve à seulement 9 km de l'océan Pacifique. Ici, les vignobles sont assis sur les pentes où ils bénéficient d'une grande exposition au soleil ainsi que des brises rafraîchissantes de l'océan Pacifique. Une fois dans la cave, les raisins sont principalement fermentés dans des cuves en acier inoxydable pour préserver la typicité des variétés, avec 30% de fermentation dans des œufs en béton et des fûts de chêne neutre. Le jeune vin vieillit sur les lies pendant 4 mois avant d'être mis en bouteille et libéré.

    Le résultat est un blanc vif et gourmand qui rappelle immédiatement la mer avec des notes de minéralité salée, d'agrumes vifs et de fruits tropicaux comme la papaye et la mangue. En bouche, on retrouve une grande fraîcheur ainsi que des notes de fruits mûrs et une minéralité salée en finale.
