My only reason for not giving five stars is that the delivery date never is the date given at check-out. Always a few days later. So take the delivery date with a pinch of salt.

Les vins de Zinfandel ont tendance à avoir des tanins modérés, une acidité élevée et un taux d'alcool élevé de 14-17% ABV. Ces vins sont souvent vieillis en fûts de chêne pendant une période prolongée pour ajouter du poli et intégrer pleinement l'alcool et les tanins. Le raisin Zinfandel est également utilisé pour faire des vins rosé doux connus sous le nom de White Zinfandel qui sont populaires dans certaines parties de la Californie.

La région la plus célèbre pour le Zinfandel est la Californie, avec les sous-régions de la Napa Valley, Dry Creek Valley, Russian River Valley et Lodi qui produisent toutes d'excellents vins de Zinfandel. On trouve également du Zinfandel dans la région des Pouilles, dans le sud de l'Italie, où il est connu sous le nom de Primitivo. Des recherches ont montré que le Zinfandel est génétiquement presque identique à plusieurs raisins croates indigènes, ce qui indique que le raisin pourrait être originaire de ce pays.
