    Ce pinot noir classique de style Nouveau Monde est l'œuvre de la famille Matetic qui a émigré au Chili depuis la côte croate en 1892. Après avoir travaillé pendant de nombreuses années dans leur élevage de moutons prospère à Punta Arenas, ils ont décidé en 1999 de commencer à faire du vin dans la vallée d'El Rosario à San Antonio, à seulement 15 km de l'océan Pacifique.

    Les raisins pour cette mise en bouteille proviennent des vignobles du domaine dans la vallée qui sont plantés sur d'excellents sols granitiques et sont cultivés selon les principes biodynamiques en harmonie avec Mère Nature. La plupart du temps, les vignes sont cultivées en sec, ce qui donne de faibles rendements de fruits très concentrés. Dans le chai, les raisins sont fermentés à l'aide de levures sauvages et le jeune vin est ensuite élevé en fûts de chêne français pendant 18 à 20 mois avant d'être mis en bouteille.

    Le profil de saveur est audacieux et fruité avec d'amples notes de cassis, de mûre et de cerise accompagnées de nuances de violette, d'épices à cuire et de tapis forestier. La première gorgée révèle un corps léger, une acidité vibrante et des saveurs intenses qui persistent longtemps sur la langue. Un grand vin à boire avec du canard, du gibier ou de l'agneau rôti cuit aux herbes.
