A Birthday to Remember with DAOU & Colomé Celebrating my mother’s birthday was made even more special thanks to two incredible wines—DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 and Colomé Auténtico Malbec 2020. The star of the evening was undoubtedly the DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon. From the first sip, it enveloped us in its rich, velvety embrace. The deep dark fruit flavors, hints of cocoa, and perfectly balanced oak made every glass feel like a true indulgence. It was bold yet elegant, a wine that effortlessly brought warmth and joy to our gathering. Seeing my mother savor each sip with a smile made it all the more memorable. The Colomé Auténtico Malbec also delivered beautifully, with its pure expression of high-altitude Malbec. It was powerful, with ripe blackberries, spice, and a smooth, lingering finish—an excellent complement to the evening. These wines didn’t just enhance our meal; they became part of the celebration, elevating every toast and conversation. A heartfelt thank you to DAOU and Colomé for making this special occasion truly unforgettable!

    Un anniversaire inoubliable avec DAOU & Colomé La célébration de l'anniversaire de ma mère a été rendue encore plus spéciale grâce à deux vins incroyables - DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 et Colomé Auténtico Malbec 2020. La star de la soirée était sans aucun doute le DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon. Dès la première gorgée, il nous a enveloppés de son étreinte riche et veloutée. Les profondes saveurs de fruits noirs, les notes de cacao et le chêne parfaitement équilibré ont fait de chaque verre un véritable plaisir. C'était un vin à la fois audacieux et élégant, qui a apporté sans effort chaleur et joie à notre réunion. Voir ma mère savourer chaque gorgée avec le sourire n'en a été que plus mémorable. Le Colomé Auténtico Malbec s'est lui aussi révélé magnifique, avec sa pure expression de Malbec de haute altitude. Il était puissant, avec des mûres mûres, des épices et une finale douce et persistante - un excellent complément à la soirée. Ces vins n'ont pas seulement rehaussé notre repas ; ils ont fait partie de la fête, rehaussant chaque toast et chaque conversation. Nous remercions chaleureusement DAOU et Colomé d'avoir fait de cette occasion spéciale un moment inoubliable !

    El Enemigo est un projet argentin palpitant fondé par le vigneron en chef de Catena Zapata, Alejandro Vigil, et l'historienne Adrianna Catena qui est la plus jeune fille de Nicolas Catena. Leurs vins capturent leur passion commune pour l'histoire, la philosophie et la littérature, offrant des expressions transgressant les règles et romantiques de certains des plus grands cépages du monde avec une touche argentine distinctive.

    Leur Cabernet Franc de climat frais cultivé en altitude dans les vignobles spectaculaires de Mendoza au pied des Andes est particulièrement inspiré. Le grand frère de ce vin, El Gran Enemigo Cabernet Franc d'Alejandro, a reçu la note la plus élevée jamais attribuée à un exemple pur de la variété par The Wine Advocate de Robert Parker.

    Les raisins pour cette mise en bouteille proviennent des vignobles de Gualtallary qui se situent entre 1400 et 1470 mètres au-dessus du niveau de la mer. Ces conditions uniques permettent de produire un vin remarquablement intense et puissant, doté d'un équilibre parfait grâce aux nuits d'été fraîches et à la longue saison de maturation. Le jeune vin est élevé pendant 16 mois dans des fondoirs alsaciens de 100 ans ou dans de grands fûts de chêne importés d'Italie. Le résultat est un rouge d'une beauté stupéfiante, avec de succulentes saveurs de baies noires, des tanins doux et une très longue finale épicée.
