Le processus d'achat et le choix des produits sont bons mais le service de livraison avec UPS est misérable. Je n'achèterai plus malheureusement à cause de la livraison par UPS qui ne respecte jamais la date et l'heure et qui donne une fausse excuse d'absence alors que j'étais là et que j'ai pris un jour de congé pour être là.

    Située dans la province de Vérone, dans la zone historique de Negrar, au cœur de la région viticole du Valpolicella Classico, la cave Mazzi est dirigée depuis 1960 par Roberto Mazzi, aujourd'hui assisté de ses fils Stefano et Antonio. L'entreprise, qui produit du vin depuis le début du XXe siècle, possède environ 7 hectares de vignobles, appelés Calcarole, Castel, Poiega et Villa, qui produisent les raisins pour le Recioto et l'Amarone della Valpolicella Classico et Valpolicella Classico Superiore.

    Ce vin est un assemblage des variétés locales Corvina, Rondinella, avec de petits ajouts de Corvinone et Molinara. Les raisins proviennent du vignoble de la Villa. Après la récolte, les raisins sont mis à sécher jusqu'à la mi-février. Ensuite, la fermentation a lieu à une température contrôlée dans des cuves en acier pendant environ 21 jours. Le vin fini est ensuite vieilli pendant 4 ans en fûts de chêne et en tonneaux.

    L'Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Punta di Villa présente une robe rouge intense aux reflets rubis et un profil aromatique large avec des notes de fruits rouges mûrs et des nuances épicées. En bouche, le vin est rond, robuste et chaleureux. Il a un corps plein et une longue finale avec des notes vaguement amères. C'est le vin idéal pour accompagner le gibier braisé ou les viandes rouges.
