A Birthday to Remember with DAOU & Colomé Celebrating my mother’s birthday was made even more special thanks to two incredible wines—DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 and Colomé Auténtico Malbec 2020. The star of the evening was undoubtedly the DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon. From the first sip, it enveloped us in its rich, velvety embrace. The deep dark fruit flavors, hints of cocoa, and perfectly balanced oak made every glass feel like a true indulgence. It was bold yet elegant, a wine that effortlessly brought warmth and joy to our gathering. Seeing my mother savor each sip with a smile made it all the more memorable. The Colomé Auténtico Malbec also delivered beautifully, with its pure expression of high-altitude Malbec. It was powerful, with ripe blackberries, spice, and a smooth, lingering finish—an excellent complement to the evening. These wines didn’t just enhance our meal; they became part of the celebration, elevating every toast and conversation. A heartfelt thank you to DAOU and Colomé for making this special occasion truly unforgettable!

    Constitué de Chardonnay et d'une plus petite proportion de Sauvignon Blanc, le Tzora Judean Hills blanc est un témoignage étonnant du potentiel de cette région en devenir. Les vignes sont plantées sur les flancs des collines où elles sont rafraîchies par les brises des montagnes ainsi que par les brumes de la mer Méditerranée toute proche. Les sols sont composés de calcaire et de terra rossa qui contribuent à créer des vins d'une grande profondeur et complexité tout en conservant une fraîcheur éclatante pour équilibrer le caractère fruité intense.

    Au nez, on retrouve d'amples arômes de zeste de citron, de fruits tropicaux et d'herbes séchées tandis que le palais offre une fraîcheur éclatante, un corps moyen et une texture crémeuse. Le profil de saveur élégant et équilibré en fait un vin gastronomique idéal et il se mariera bien avec tout, du poulet rôti et des fruits de mer frais aux salades estivales légères et aux fromages crémeux.

    Le Tzora Vineyards a été fondé par Ronnie James en 1993 qui rêvait de montrer au monde entier le potentiel viticole des collines de Judée. On y fait du vin depuis plus de 5000 ans, mais Tzora a été l'un des premiers vignobles à commencer à appliquer les techniques et la technologie modernes de vinification pour produire des vins de qualité supérieure.
